BLOOD BROTHER AW18

Updated: Aug 11, 2021

On the last day of London Fashion Week Men, I had another mind-blowing creative experience. I was invited to the Blood Brother AW18 show and I also had the chance to enter the backstage hours before the show!

During my time backstage, I learned very soon that I needed to be quicker than usual! In order to warm up a little, I started drawing some models playing with their phones while waiting to be dressed.

I asked the first ready model to pose for me for about five minutes: that really was the calm before the storm! After the first rehearsal, models started dressings themselves. I did some preliminary sketches of models all dressed up and in line ready to hit the show.

Then it got quite hectic, with lots of photographers coming out from nowhere ready to get the best shots of the first looks. I really had the time of my life! And of course, then came the show.

The collection starting point is that feeling of loaded expectancy that seems to be part of the current generation and winning the National Lottery has been chosen as the reflective image of this idea.

The title of the collection, "It Could Be You", pretty much sums up the whole concept and can be found printed in several garments. The collection explores a lifestyle of excess quintessential American gangsters and a typically faded opulence of Las Vegas.

Please check the following gallery to have a look at some pictures I took myself during the show. As an illustrator, I had another great day during LFWM and I thank all the lovely Blood Brother team and Carl and Julia of CMPR!
