Season by season, Christopher Raeburn is becoming one of the most relevant shows during London Fashion Week Men's and his latest proposition is just a confirmation of that.
His designs have been inspiring my work as an illustrator for a very long time now, and since I am now based in London I am glad I could attend his show to fully understand his vision.
The Autumn/Winter 2018/19 collection, entitled IMMERSE, draws inspiration from our deep oceans and keeps the conversation about sustainable fashion, which is at the core of the brand since its launch.
In respect of the brand sustainable design manifesto, the collection is enriched by the use of materials like protective neoprene immersion suits and Royal Air Force helicopter winchman coveralls, that have been adapted into unisex anoraks, coats and trousers.
The collection is rich in collaborations as well: once again with denim maker Blackhorse Lane Ateliers and footwear brand Palladium and for the first time with cold water surf brand Finisterre, on a series of outerwear and knitwear pieces, along with some accessories as well, ready to face the hardest nature conditions.
While looking forward to his SS19 show in a few weeks, please enjoy more visuals from the fashion show with this gallery of pictures I took myself:
