This is a very quick sketch that I did during the Daniel W. Fletcher Spring/Summer 2019 catwalk show, that opened Day 1 of London Fashion Week Men's. The collection, called "In Search Of Sunrise", is an exquisite mix of edginess and softness and a reflection about the contemporary state of fashion, especially for young designers, and today's complicated political landscape.
Personally, it is one of my favourite collections of the season, with great attention to details and classic tailoring with twisted elements. It was also the first time, since his graduation, that Daniel W. Fletcher opted for a catwalk show, rather than a presentation.
The collection sees also an elegant collaboration with artist Caitlin Keogh: her delicate paintings are printed on silk shirts and scarves, that are instant must-have of the season.
It's a collection full of hope and I can't wait to see what's coming next for this talented menswear designer.
