Since her debut in 2015, Christelle Kocher, with her brand KOCHÉ, has gained much popular attention for her will to reflect our times, presenting a wearable kind of fashion, closer to streets than red carpets. This trademark is now her personal signature and it has allowed her to become one of the most awaited moments during Paris Fashion Week.

Despite living in Paris before, I never had the chance to attend a KOCHÉ fashion show, that's why I was more than thrilled to get invited backstage to sketch live.

The show took place in the beautiful Espace Niemeyer, and, of course, the backstage was quite hectic since the beginning. I first approached male model Louis, who kindly posed for me only a few moments after getting dressed. Since then, backstage started getting stuffed with lots of photographers, so I had to sketch models while standing in line, right before they hit the catwalk.

The KOCHÉ SS19 collection is a real melting pot of different cultures and countries that have inspired the designer to conceive her new proposition, including Morocco, China and Japan.

Spring/Summer 2019 marks also the third time that designer Christelle Kocher works along with The Woolmark Company. This partnership allowed her to create some beautiful handmade merino wool pieces in collaboration with Japanese wool manufacturer Nakaden.
