Last weeks have been pretty good and filled with magical moments: I got signed to Cosmopola Artist Management and also sketched live during a Shopping Party Weekend at Harvey Nichols.
If this wasn't already enough I have spent the last weekend sketching during an exclusive event at the Dior Sloane Street store, here in London. Words can't really describe the feeling of working with such an iconic brand that really made the history of fashion, and that is now stronger than ever, with her first female creative director, fellow Italian Maria Grazia Chiuri.
The event celebrated Christmas but also the latest Dior cruise collection that draws inspiration from a great 18th-century classic print: the toile de Jouy. Maria Grazia Chiuri proposed her modern take on the traditional print, adding a series of wild animals like giraffes, tigers and monkeys.
I was then invited to personalize with my drawings the beautiful Dior Greeting Cards offered to the guests as a memory. Guests could choose if having their bespoke 10 minutes portrait or a sketch of one of the items of the toile de jouy.
