"ART SCHOOL was created to convey a message, to create a dialogue of our lives and those of our friends, our loved ones who are never represented. We are here and we stand proud of who we are and where we're going."
It's up to Eden Loweth and Tom Barratt's ART SCHOOL to officially open the new season of London Fashion Week Men's, with a show that was more of a performance and a gentle reminder that we are now in East London, as LFWM moves for the first time to the Old Truman Brewery.
After debuting as part of Fashion East, ART SCHOOL are now ready to stage their own standalone show, with a sickening choreography by Holly Blakey (that echoes 'Blade of Light' by Nick Knight) and a diverse cast that celebrates inclusivity more than ever.
Models hit the catwalk as they are going to the opera, they felt free to be who they are, with garments that inspire fluidity and sculpted silhouettes.
No doubt the show was a powerful statement and a perfect open number for LFWM. As for me, it was just a pleasure to attend the show and be able to draw a quick sketch.
