"There’s no design, all the pattern is free-hand; drawings started at the moment when a silhouette appeared in my head.“
After showing in the French capital last season, SULVAM, founded by Teppei Fujita, comes back with an exclusive presentation as part of the Paris Fashion Week official calendar.
The show, which took place in the Palais de Tokyo, has been conceived as an urgent answer to the contemporary chaotic fashion industry, willing to create something new.
The Autumn/Winter 2019 collection draws inspiration from 1930s pictures by Auguste Thunder or Diane Arbus. Emblematic of the collection is also an original leopard pattern, that I attempted to reproduce in my live sketch during the presentation, made from scratch and coloured as it would be a flower bouquet.
