"Today's lifestyle is getting more minimal and light, freeing us from all constraint, allowing us to feel the wind.“
This is a very quick sketch that I did during the Autumn/Winter 2019 catwalk show of Issey Miyake Men at Paris Fashion Week. I was looking forward to discovering the new offering by Yusuke Takahashi, in charge of the menswear line of Issey Miyake since 2013.
The new collection, entitled "Feeling the Wind", explores the natural sense of energy and freedom that wind usually provides. Craftsmanship and new technology are combined together once again, to create a perfect balance that is now peculiar to the Japanese label.
Later that day, I also had the pleasure to be invited to the first-ever presentation of HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE, held in the Centre Pompidou. The brilliant show was conceived as a performance with dancers, acrobats and models under the creative direction of Daniel Ezralow.
