"What is needed? Why create a collection in this day and age? A question I ask myself over and over. I realized that what I do co comes from deep inside and I felt that this was enough to give it a life".
On day 5 of Paris Fashion Week, in the gorgeous Hôtel de Ville of the French capital, Andreas Kronthaler presented his ninth collection for Vivienne Westwood. I had the chance to attend the show and this is a quick sketch that I created during it.
The Autumn/Winter 2020 Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood collection is a joyful and sustainable re-exploration of the classic Westwood spirit. The Austrian designer draws inspiration from the Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky, using garments and accessories as a way to experience the seasons and to awaken our senses.
Bella Hadid closed the show in a beautiful wedding dress...while wielding a dagger!
This sketch, created during the show, is part of my Paris Fashion Week AW20 illustrated coverage for L'Officiel Italia.
